J: What a drag. Two video cameras are BANNED from the Grand Palace Golden Temple. Sony FX-7 and Cannon XL-1. I was escorted to a security station by a Thai army officer. What the frack? Tons of smaller HD cameras in there. Plus dudes shooting HD footage on their still cameras. So after we left we walked the wrong way around the GIANT block that the temple is in. I love my wife. She stuck with it like a trooper. Then when we were about to give up and “cry” a little - a Thai man saw the Obama action figure sticking out of her purse. He was yelling and laughing and so were we. Thank you random Thai dude for pulling us out of the muck.
J: We ordered from Royal Thai tonight. Not “to get ready” or “in the mood” or anything like that. We got delivery from our favorite Thai restaurant to mark its passing into a sort of personal history.
Think of it like skiing. How can you be thrilled by Michigan once you’ve been to Colorado? Even though Michigan has been SO awesome to you all these years. So tonight we skied Michigan. Skied the crap out of her then left her on the radiator to dry.
Margaret: well, since I can’t be in EVERY shot in Thailand (heh), John and I figured it was about time I started practicing with the camera. I can honestly say I’ve never really even shot any video, so it was fun to learn about the camera and scary because I have slippery hands…that’s why John fell in love with me in the first place.
So, here’s the video I shot of Remo. I hope you enjoy it.
