When we first arrived in Bangkok we stayed at The Key Hotel. We liked it there, but Khao San Road is one of my favorite places on earth and we wanted to be close to it for a few days.
But you know, we’re not spring chickens, we didn’t want to stay ON Khao San, just near it. We discovered The Bhiman Inn on Trip Advisor and we are so so glad we did.
It’s comfortably close to Khao San and comfortably far away from it. It was QUIET oh so quiet. Great pool for those hot afternoons and the tastiest little breakfasts ever. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and the place was clean as a whistle.
We’re headed back to Thailand this spring and I just double-checked prices at the Bhiman. For a one night stay in May, 40$. That’s a great price for the location and even though the Bhiman is nothing crazy fancy, it’s perfect if you want something a little better than a hostel but not something expensive – highly recommend.
